The Season Of Waiting

This season in my life now almost being single has had its ups and down for sure.

There’s the little things that make you realize that God has everything in control and he’s looking out for your heart. Those bible verses that speak to your heart. Those friends who speak the truth in love. There is blog posts from friends who have been or were in the same boat.

Then there’s little moments you empty out your car and find pictures of you and your ex and you burst into tears. There’s the letters and cards he wrote you promising you stuff that isn’t guaranteed. Again you sob because you wonder what went wrong you even though you know in your heart you know why.

There’s weddings and engagements every where but really not everywhere you look. You just imagine it.

So right now I cling to these verses and I hope you do as well.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 11 NIV

“Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.” – Song of Solomon 2:7 NIV
